Common Sense Networking Events

Sharing ideas and connecting the dots

My goal is to bring educators, advocates, and enthusiasts together to share thoughts and learn from each other. To make every event informative and productive.

I am connecting with a variety of venues around Council Bluffs and surrounding area to accommodate size and purpose for each event, along with collaborating with you in regard to format and quality for your specific function.

I have coordinated two networking events prior, ‘No More Business As Usual’ and ‘Making Sense of Industrial Hemp.’

My personal services are volunteered, expenses would be venue rent and the quality of an event.

There are good things to come

Industrial hemp is common sense

As we move forward in the twenty-first century, American agriculture faces enormous challenges and opportunities. New crops will be vital to the profitability and sustainability of America’s land resources, and the cultivation and utilization of industrial hemp could yield substantial benefits to American farmers, manufacturers, and consumers.

Hemp is the world’s most versatile fiber. Almost any product that can be made from wood, cotton, or petroleum (including plastics) can be made from hemp. There are more than 25,000 known uses for hemp.

For the public, we will provide good basic information and point you toward helpful resources and links. For organizations and businesses of ethical means, we will collaborate to promote your products and services through our social media and event presentations.

Mental Health

All things mental

Mental illnesses are treatable health conditions very common in the world today. They can affect anyone, regardless of age, race, religion, or income. But people are still afraid to talk about them due to shame, misunderstanding, negative attitudes, and fear of discrimination.

It’s time for an attitude change. We’ve all been personally touched by this disease, in regard to ourselves, a family member, or a friend. We must work together to bring awareness and perception change through education and dialogue.

Our Green Story

This story is about a finite planet that cannot continue to grow by 80 million people annually without significant detrimental effects. The current degradation of ecosystems, atmospheric changes, loss of species, and depletion of water resources inevitably lead to a point where resources are no longer adequate to support the human population without significant changes in the way we live.

As Earth residents, human attitude and behaviors must change. For change to occur people need to be MORE AWARE and EDUCATED. Globally, major changes are taking place in the atmosphere and climate, there is no letup in the accumulating evidence of climate change. The most profound change that must happen and soon, is the transition to a sustainable civilization – one in which a stable human population
recognizes the finite limits of the Earth’s systems to produce resources and absorb wastes, and act accordingly. This is hard to picture at present, but it is the only future that makes sense. If we fail to achieve it by deliberate actions, the natural world will impose it on us in highly undesirable ways.

Common Sense Factor

Sound practical judgement is usually developed through life experiences. Common sense is a form of decision making and the ability to imagine the consequences. It stops us from making irrational mistakes and makes it easier to make choices on what we do. We are not born with it; we develop it over time. Of course, there are many causes in life that deter us from using common sense – emotions, mental affliction, peer and social pressure, ect.
